Camp Leadership

Is God calling you to lead?

Are you interested in leading on some of our camps held throughout the year?

It is only through the help of our amazing team of volunteer leaders that we are able to create such an amazing experience on our Christian youth camps.

We are currently seeking leaders for all camps in 2019/20. Feel free to apply to be a leader for as many as you like here.

Application Process

We have a short process to apply to be a leader:

1. Firstly, get an understanding of what we expect from our leaders. You can have a look at the leader expectations here.

2. Look at the key tasks applicable to the Leader Role. Please ensure you understand your role and the commitment involved.

3. Review the camp dates. It is expected that you are available for all of the required dates including training days. Camp and training dates are listed at the top of the leader application page. Please make sure you are available before applying to lead on a specific camp.

4. Fill out the Leader Application Form.

Once you have completed the application form we may contact you to collect more information or to arrange an interview with you.

If we do not get back to you within one week with confirmation that we have received your application, please contact us via email or phone.

If you are a new leader on our camps you will be expected to complete the following screening process to ensure the safety of yourself and our campers. The camp coordinator will be more than happy to help guide your through the process, however if you are unable to complete it, we are unable to accept you onto the leadership team.

  1. Anglican Church of Southern Queensland Safe Ministry Check. You may complete this ahead of time and submit directly for Jonathan Kemp via email or post.

  2. Blue Card. It is a legal requirement for all volunteers to hold at least at minimum a volunteer blue card while attending camp. If you do not have one currently it is free and it takes 28 days to process, so please indicate accordingly on your application to start the paperwork process ASAP.

  3. Complete the online ACSQ Child Protection Training Course. This will take approximately 90 minutes to complete at not cost.

If you have any questions regarding being a leader or the application process please contact Erica on 3514 7412 or eskerman@ministryeducation.org.au  – we’d love to hear from you!

Thanks for your interest and we look forward to receiving your application!
