Vacancy - Young Adults Coordinator, St Andrew’s Anglican Church Springfield

Position Purpose

St Andrew’s Anglican Church Springfield is seeking someone to build and disciple a thriving young adults’ group that is able to augment the missional activity of the church. This position is part-time (4 hours per week).

Position Requirements

  • Hold and maintain a Blue Card, or ability to acquire one

  • Successful Anglican Church Safe Ministry Check

  • Confirmed communicant member of the Anglican Church of Australia, or willingness to be received into the Anglican Church

  • Organisational experience within a university or young adult context

  • Some theological training preferred

Selection Criteria

  • Robust and lively Christian faith, with an evangelistic outlook

  • An effective communicator, able to engage positively with young adults and other members of the parish

  • Ability to manage volunteers (including training and supervision)

  • Adept at devising innovative activities and programmes to engage young adults

  • Highly organised and proactive, with excellent interpersonal skills

Vacancy - Children & Youth Ministry Coordinator, St Andrew’s Anglican Church Springfield

Position Purpose

St Andrew’s Anglican Church Springfield is seeking someone to facilitate the effective discipleship of their children and young people. This position is part-time (13 hours per week).

Position Requirements

  • Hold and maintain a Blue Card (working with children), or ability to acquire

  • Successful Anglican Church Safe Ministry Check

  • Up-to-date first aid certificate or willingness to obtain

  • Confirmed communicant member of the Anglican Church of Australia, or willingness to be received into the Anglican Church

  • Minimum two years experience of working with children

  • Some theological training preferred

Selection Criteria

  • Robust and lively Christian faith, with an evangelistic outlook

  • An effective communicator who is able to engage positively with the broad demographics of the parish

  • Ability to manage volunteers (including training and supervision)

  • Adept at devising children’s programmes and activities that are innovative, imaginative and engaging

  • Capable of assisting with the development of a ‘Kids Church’ syllabus

  • Highly organised and proactive, with excellent interpersonal skills

Vacancy - Youth Minister, St Faith’s Anglican Church Strathpine

Position Purpose

St Faith’s Anglican Church Strathpine is seeking someone to facilitate the effective discipleship of their children and young people through the leadership and coordination of a youth group on weekdays and Sundays. This position is part-time. A youth minister is needed to create and lead a Friday night youth group as well as lead Sunday morning kids church sessions (St Faiths Next Gen). Volunteers are on board to assist you with these sessions.

About you

Are you a godly person who has a heart for youth? Are you enthusiastic and fun loving? A part time youth minister’s role at St Faiths Strathpine Anglican Parish may be perfect for you. The successful candidate will be self motivated, able to work unsupervised, manage volunteers, have experience in leading youth and children’s ministries, have completed a ‘Working with Children Check’ and ‘Safety Ministry Training’.

The role is part time, negotiable hours (up to 10 per week).

St Faiths is located in the northern suburbs of Brisbane. The facilities have recently been refurbished offering new audio equipment, televisions, playground, sports equipment, café facilities and much more.
